In her first romantic comedy and modern drama lead role, Jisoo portrays the intense daily life of a working professional and the fantasy romance within a virtual world. Her candid and confident image aligns well with the character of Mi-rae, and the journey of Mi-rae discovering true love after failed relationships resonates with audiences.

As the series progresses, Jisoo calmly expresses the confusion of navigating between reality and fantasy. Her evolving 'hate-to-love' romance with co-worker and rival Park Kyung-nam (played by Seo In-guk) showcases subtle emotional shifts and a strengthening inner self, completing her character's growth arc.

'Monthly Boyfriend' achieved significant success, ranking 5th globally in the Netflix TV show category and entering the TOP 10 in 69 countries and regions, according to FlixPatrol on October 8. As of October 9, it maintained its position as the number one series in Netflix Korea's TOP 10.
