Actress Seolhyun is set to make a special appearance in JTBC's upcoming drama 'Human X Gumiho' (working title).
According to a report by TenAsia on the 10th, Seolhyun will be adding her star power to 'Human X Gumiho' with a special appearance.
'Human X Gumiho' is a fantasy romantic comedy that explores the intersection of fate between a bewitching creature and a human who attracts mystical beings. With the confirmed casting of actors Jun Ji-hyun and Ji Chang-wook, Seolhyun will join them in bringing this story to life. A source told TenAsia, "Many felt that Seolhyun's visual appeal was a perfect match for the character Yeon, making her an ideal casting choice."
Jun Ji-hyun will portray Gu Ja-hong, a top actress and a 2000-year-old gumiho. Ji Chang-wook takes on the role of Choi Seok, a museum director and shaman who can see the world's harsh realities.
Seolhyun will play Yeon, a beautiful mystical creature in a contractual relationship with Choi Seok, the museum director and shaman. Yeon resides in a pond and is a mysterious and enchanting character. Despite her special appearance, Seolhyun is expected to leave a significant impact on the drama.
The drama is directed by Kim Jung-sik, known for his witty direction in works like 'Drinking Solo', 'Strong Woman Do Bong-soon', 'I Hate Going to Work', and 'Monthly Magazine Home'. The script is penned by Im Meari, who has showcased emotional fantasy in 'The Beauty Inside' and 'Doom at Your Service'.
'Human X Gumiho' is a 14-episode series set to air on JTBC.
