On the morning of the 9th, a production briefing for the film 'The Ultimate Investigation' was held at CGV Yongsan I'Park Mall in Seoul. The event was attended by director Park Cheol-hwan and actors Bae Sung-woo, Jung Ga-ram, Esom, Jo Han-chul, and Yoon Kyung-ho.
During the event, Yoon Kyung-ho expressed, "Thanks to many people viewing me favorably, I've been able to show various sides of myself. It's been a while since I played a character who feels wronged. While filming this movie, my role wasn't very prominent, so I found myself getting lost in my own thoughts."
He continued, "There was a time when I lost a lot of weight, and I consulted with director Bong Joon-ho about whether to maintain that image or gain weight again. He's not one to comment on such matters, but after I repeatedly asked, he said, 'I like that you look wronged, Kyung-ho. You seem to portray characters who have experienced unjust times very well.' I feel like I have a good chemistry with director Bong Joon-ho."
'The Ultimate Investigation' was initially set to release under the title 'Field Investigation' after completing filming in 2019. However, its release was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic and actor Bae Sung-woo's DUI controversy.
The film follows the story of 'Jae-hyuk,' a detective demoted to a rural area, who gets a final chance in life. He embarks on a mission to catch the real culprit behind a murder case involving two suspects, alongside rookie detective 'Jung-ho,' as they head to Seoul for the ultimate investigation. The movie is set to premiere on the 2nd of next month.
