G(I-DLE)'s Yuqi has proven her remarkable influence in the Chinese music scene.
Yuqi was recently named one of Tencent Music's 'Women of the Year in Music 2026.'
Under the theme 'Where She Is, There Is Light,' Yuqi was recognized as one of the standout female artists on the Tencent Music platform and in the Chinese music market throughout 2025.
Tencent Music highlighted Yuqi's 'vitality' as her defining trait, noting her involvement in writing and composing her debut single 'MOTIVATION,' showcasing her talent as a next-generation female singer-songwriter. The title track 'M.O.' not only topped charts in Korea but also achieved significant success in China.
Yuqi's impact is evident in the numbers. She entered the Tencent Music Korea Chart 147 times, reached the TOP20 122 times, and was honored as Artist of the Year, Solo Artist of the Year, Song of the Year ('FREAK'), and EP/Single of the Year ('Motivation') in 2025.
Her solo tracks 'Radio (Dum-Dum)' and 'FREAK' both received Tencent Music Gold Certification. Notably, 'Radio (Dum-Dum),' released in March last year, remained in the TOP10 of the Tencent Music Korea Chart for 50 consecutive weeks post-release and continues to break records.
Additionally, Yuqi recently garnered attention by performing the theme song 'Magic Together' for Shanghai Disneyland's 10th anniversary.
G(I-DLE), consisting of members Miyeon, Minnie, Soyeon, Yuqi, and Shuhua, held their '2026 i-dle WORLD TOUR [Syncopation] IN TAIPEI' at the Taipei Dome on the 7th, marking the first K-POP girl group to perform there. The concert sold out immediately upon ticket release, demonstrating their explosive popularity.
