The new tvN drama 'How to Become a Landlord in Korea' (hereafter 'Landlord'), premiering on March 14, follows a suspenseful story of a debt-ridden landlord who gets involved in a fake kidnapping scheme to protect his family and property. The drama stars Ha Jung-woo, Im Soo-jung, Kim Jun-han, Jung Soo-jung, and Shim Eun-kyung, promising a powerful acting synergy.
In 'Landlord', Im Soo-jung plays Kim Sun, the resolute wife of Ki Soo-jong (played by Ha Jung-woo). Kim Sun is a character who remains calm and resolves situations even in moments of crisis. She becomes suspicious of her husband's strange behavior after he buys a building with a risky loan and takes action for the sake of her daughter and family, leading the plot in unpredictable directions.
She added, "I found 'Landlord' appealing because it interestingly portrays how ordinary people, not typical villains, gradually change through their choices." The drama, which explores the desires surrounding a building, is set to reveal a new side of Im Soo-jung, drawing attention to her transformation.
She continued, "Kim Sun's actions create a unique rhythm in the black comedy genre, adding suspense to the plot. Viewers will likely feel a chilling tension while also finding it oddly humorous," heightening curiosity about the unexpected collaboration between the couple.
Finally, Im Soo-jung shared a viewing point for 'Landlord', saying, "There will be fun in watching new characters played by charming actors that you haven't seen before." As Kim Sun, a seemingly ordinary character making unexpected choices, Im Soo-jung raises anticipation for the character parade and acting ensemble in 'Landlord'.
'How to Become a Landlord in Korea' premieres on Saturday, March 14, at 9:10 PM.
