Im Soo-jung revealed that her decision to join 'Landlord' was a genre challenge. She explained, "In recent years, I wanted my filmography to expand in terms of genre. From the movie 'Cobweb' to the OTT series 'Pine: Country Bumpkins', and now 'Landlord', these works are part of a chapter for me."

She added, "I found 'Landlord' appealing because it interestingly portrays how ordinary people, not typical villains, gradually change through their choices." The drama, which explores the desires surrounding a building, is set to reveal a new side of Im Soo-jung, drawing attention to her transformation.

Regarding her character Kim Sun, Im Soo-jung said, "She is a person who believes that her daughter and family are more important than the building. At some point, she starts to assist her husband Ki Soo-jong in the scheme. Although they usually bicker, once Kim Sun decides to protect her family, intriguing scenes of their cooperation unfold."

She continued, "Kim Sun's actions create a unique rhythm in the black comedy genre, adding suspense to the plot. Viewers will likely feel a chilling tension while also finding it oddly humorous," heightening curiosity about the unexpected collaboration between the couple.

Finally, Im Soo-jung shared a viewing point for 'Landlord', saying, "There will be fun in watching new characters played by charming actors that you haven't seen before." As Kim Sun, a seemingly ordinary character making unexpected choices, Im Soo-jung raises anticipation for the character parade and acting ensemble in 'Landlord'.

'How to Become a Landlord in Korea' premieres on Saturday, March 14, at 9:10 PM.
