KwakTube, who moved up his wedding to last October due to a 'premarital pregnancy,' treated his wife to a nourishing meal as she approaches childbirth. Previously, KwakTube had mentioned that he and his wife live separately.
On the 21st episode of 'Jeon Hyun-moo Plan 3,' aired on the 6th, Jeon Hyun-moo, KwakTube (Kwak Jun-bin), and actress Pyo Ye-jin explored the theme 'All About Jeju Seafood.' They visited local favorites in Jeju, including a renowned 'Okdom Soup' restaurant, a market-famous 'Bomal Kalguksu,' and a master restaurant with the world's first 'Dageumbari Sashimi' patent.
Upon arriving in Jeju, Jeon Hyun-moo and KwakTube kicked off the show by singing 'Gamsugwang' and 'Blue Night of Jeju Island,' respectively, setting a lively tone. Jeon Hyun-moo exclaimed, “Having Jeju in Korea is a blessing,” and suggested, “Let's organize all the food Jeju has to offer.” Their first meal was 'Jeju's Treasure,' Okdom. At a local restaurant favored by Jeju officials, the duo claimed the top spot among broth lovers.
KwakTube expressed his intention to revisit with his wife, who is due in March, saying, “If it's good, I'll bring my wife here.” After tasting the Okdom Soup, he remarked, “It's so delicious. The broth is amazing,” and added, “My wife arrives at the airport around 11 AM tomorrow, and this should be her first meal. It's great for pregnant women.” Later, KwakTube was seen revisiting the restaurant with his wife, who was impressed and enjoyed the meal.
After a hearty meal, they met their 'food friend' Pyo Ye-jin and headed to a famous Bomal Kalguksu restaurant near Moseulpo Port's 'Daejeong Five-Day Market.' Upon receiving the richly green Kalguksu, KwakTube joked, “There's tofu in here? Maybe because I'm a married man~” Pyo Ye-jin, however, responded with a straight face, “Sorry, I can't react to that.” KwakTube then humorously referenced Pyo Ye-jin's drama 'Taxi Driver,' saying, “A taxi will be here soon.”
However, the jokes subsided with a spoonful of broth. Pyo Ye-jin praised the Bomal Kalguksu, saying, “You must visit here. It's truly delicious,” and KwakTube agreed, noting, “It's rich and sophisticated,” giving a thumbs up. The trio then transitioned into a candid conversation while enjoying the Bomal course.
Jeon Hyun-moo asked Pyo Ye-jin, “I heard you were the youngest flight attendant?” She replied, “I started at 19 but quit after a year and a half.” She explained, “Despite visiting new countries and meeting new people, I felt trapped when looking 10 years ahead, so I quit and pursued acting.”
Pyo Ye-jin also shared that her parents initially opposed her career change. “My dad completely cut off communication, and my mom was upset and cried with me,” she recalled. However, she added, “Now, my parents are my biggest supporters,” and expressed her desire to recommend the restaurant to her father.
The trio then moved to Sagye Port to visit a restaurant known for 'Jeju's Ultimate Seafood,' Dageumbari. After tasting the fish, which costs around 2.4 million won per piece, they reacted with delight, describing it as “rich and savory,” and “firm and chewy.” KwakTube humorously doubted his previous experience with Dageumbari, saying, “I don't think it was Dageumbari back then.”
When a plate of 'Dageumbari Special Parts,' including stomach, liver, lips, cheeks, neck, skin, fins, and eyeballs, was served, the atmosphere heated up. Jeon Hyun-moo and Pyo Ye-jin playfully argued over who should eat the 'eyeball,' causing laughter.
KwakTube, who tasted the eyeball first, vividly described the experience, saying, “It doesn't smell, but chewing the pupil feels a bit odd; the eye muscle texture is quite nice.” The remaining eyeball went to Jeon Hyun-moo, who jokingly insisted Pyo Ye-jin try it too, saying, “Should I spend another 2.4 million won?” causing everyone to burst into laughter. After enjoying the milky 'Eojintang,' Pyo Ye-jin shared her future plans, saying, “My next plan is to bring my parents to Jeju to enjoy Dageumbari again,” showing her filial piety.
