Tearful Moments on Disney+ Show 'Fate War 49' Amidst Controversies

Amidst controversies surrounding 'Injection Aunt' and manager abuse allegations, broadcaster Park Na-rae was seen in tears during a recording.

On the 4th, the final episode of Disney+ variety show 'Fate War 49' was released. The episode featured the top three fate tellers, Seolhwa, Lee So-bin, and Yoon Dae-man, as they undertook a mission to resolve the grievances of the deceased through the stories of their clients.

One of the clients was Kim Jae-hee, the fourth vocalist of the band Boohwal. He shared a heartbreaking story about his late brother, Kim Jae-ki, and his wife. It was revealed that Kim Jae-hee's wife passed away in 2022 after battling a rare cancer called sarcoma, which affects bones and soft tissues.

Kim Jae-hee added to the sorrow by revealing that both his brother's and wife's death anniversaries fall on August 11th. The day his wife passed away also marked the 29th anniversary of his brother Kim Jae-ki's death.

Upon hearing Kim Jae-hee's story, fate teller Seolhwa remarked, "It seems like your wife hasn't crossed over to the afterlife yet," and proceeded to enact a scene of summoning the deceased. Seolhwa then appeared as if Kim Jae-hee's wife had possessed her, crying out, "It's unfair. I didn't want to die like this."

Seolhwa embraced Kim Jae-hee, expressing, "I missed you. Please don't die, I beg you," and conveyed deep emotions, saying, "I was so grateful and loved you. Please raise our daughter well."

Kim Jae-hee also shed tears, and the studio atmosphere turned solemn. Panelists Park Na-rae, Park Ha-sun, and Kang Ji-young were also moved to tears. Park Na-rae, in particular, struggled to contain her emotions, repeatedly saying, "What should I do?" while wiping her tears, adding to the poignancy of the moment.

Previously, 'Fate War 49' faced controversy for using incidents involving fallen firefighters and police officers as mission material and for inappropriate expressions. The production team decided to re-edit the scenes following complaints from bereaved families.

Additionally, Jeon Hyun-moo sparked controversy by using the term 'stabbed' while discussing the cause of death of a fallen police officer. He later apologized through his agency for causing distress to the deceased and their families.

Meanwhile, 'Fate War 49,' a 10-episode Disney+ variety show, concluded with this broadcast.
