Choo Sung-hoon Brings Laughter and Tension on SBS's 'Anytime, Anywhere'

Choo Sung-hoon, married to Yano Shiho, expressed his nervousness on the show.

On the October 3rd episode of SBS's 'Anytime, Anywhere' (directed by Choi Bo-pil/writer Chae Jin-ah), hosts Yoo Jae-suk and Yoo Yeon-seok, along with 'gap friends' and former MMA fighters Choo Sung-hoon and Kim Dong-hyun, shared delightful moments with a Nanta club and a hair salon in Eunpyeong-gu.

The group bonded over the viral 'Cicada Kim Meme.' Yoo Jae-suk confessed his fandom, saying, “Dong-hyun, you’ve been working out a lot~ I used it a lot last week,” to which Kim Dong-hyun responded, “I unexpectedly became a meme creator. I never imagined it.” Kim Dong-hyun also playfully teased Choo Sung-hoon, declaring, “I couldn’t say anything in the past, but now that we’re aging together, it’s okay,” sparking laughter from the start.

Their first stop was a Nanta club. The club members welcomed them with snacks and lively chatter. The first mission was 'Jegi Kick,' where they had to kick a jegi onto a drum. Kim Dong-hyun confidently claimed, “I’m good at kicking jegi,” but soon had everyone laughing with his constant misses.

Choo Sung-hoon, in pursuit of the jegi, collided with a mirror, prompting Yoo Yeon-seok to shout, “Hyung, your adrenaline is too high!” Despite their efforts, including adjusting the drum’s position, they failed the first stage as the jegi slipped between the drums on their 10th attempt. The club members consoled them, saying, “You worked hard playing the game. It was fun.”

The group then visited Kim Dong-hyun’s favorite Chinese restaurant to console themselves. Amid sharing stories from their fighting days, Choo Sung-hoon showcased his wild side, humorously charging at food despite being on a 40-hour detox. His competitive spirit flared during a lunch bet, leading to a rematch request after losing his own proposed game, which had Yoo Jae-suk in stitches.

Their second stop was a family-run building housing a 'hair salon' and a 'handmade sausage shop.' The family shared their heartwarming daily life of working together for decades. The second mission, 'Ping Pong! Neck Catch,' involved bouncing a ping pong ball into a Chinese food tray. Kim Dong-hyun attempted a trick to make up for earlier mistakes, prompting Yoo Jae-suk to exclaim, “Kim Bong, why are you cheating!” causing laughter.

Choo Sung-hoon, engrossed in the game, charged like a lion on the Serengeti to catch a stray ball, crashing into the camera and succeeding in the first stage with a dramatic fall. Advancing to the second stage, Choo Sung-hoon and Kim Dong-hyun performed slapstick comedy, with Choo Sung-hoon exclaiming, “I feel like crying,” adding to the hilarity. Despite failing the second stage, Yoo Jae-suk praised them, saying, “Thanks to the comedy duo, it was so much fun.”

Yoo Jae-suk, Yoo Yeon-seok, Choo Sung-hoon, and Kim Dong-hyun filled Tuesday night with laughter through their relentless chemistry. Choo Sung-hoon and Kim Dong-hyun, true to their fighter brotherhood, delivered slapstick comedy that created memorable moments on 'Anytime, Anywhere.'

Meanwhile, 'Anytime, Anywhere' airs every Tuesday at 9 PM on SBS.
