On March 1st, Lee shared a lengthy post on her Instagram, stating, "With the new regulation allowing pets in general restaurants from today, I was tense even before heading to work. As expected, the situation that unfolded before my arrival was still unresolved when I got there," along with a video.
The video shows CCTV footage from Lee's pet cafe, where a customer is raising their voice, and police are present, listening to the customer's complaints.
Lee explained, "The customer was unaware of the legal changes and was understandably upset when they couldn't freely move around with their pets. They were very agitated, and I could foresee this happening. As a business owner, I'm frustrated too, so I can only imagine how the pet owners feel."
Since March 1st, pets are legally allowed in restaurants, but only if they are vaccinated dogs and cats. This has led to confusion for Lee, who operates a pet cafe.
Lee noted, "There are many posts about the legal changes on social media, and unfortunately, some places are now prohibiting pets. In an era where the pet population is growing, such legal changes are limiting spaces where pets can accompany their owners," expressing her disappointment.
She further pleaded, "Please consider the differences between pet-friendly restaurants and pet cafes. Allow us the freedom to enjoy watching our pets play while we relax."
