On the 28th of October, the 46th BRIT Awards 2026 took place in Manchester, UK, where Rosé, alongside Bruno Mars, won the International Song of the Year for their duet 'APT.'.
The BRIT Awards, a prestigious ceremony organized by the British Phonographic Industry since 1977, selects nominees through votes from a panel of over 1,000 members, including radio and TV DJs, hosts, broadcasters, record label executives, and journalists. Rosé has made history as the first and only K-pop artist to be nominated both as a group and solo act at the BRIT Awards, and now she has added a win to her accolades.
Upon receiving the award, Rosé expressed her gratitude, saying, "It's an honor to receive such a wonderful award in front of so many talented musicians." She also thanked her mentor and friend Bruno Mars, her inspiring BLACKPINK members, and producer TEDDY, expressing her love and gratitude.
The International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI) announced on the 19th that 'APT.' topped the Global Singles Chart, continuing its record-breaking streak. The IFPI Global Singles Chart quantifies music consumption and downloads to analyze popularity, showcasing the most globally popular songs. Rosé is the first K-pop artist to top this chart, and the first from outside North America and Europe to achieve this feat.
BLACKPINK, the group Rosé is part of, released their mini-album 'DEADLINE' and its title track 'GO' on the 27th, marking their first full group release in three years and five months, exciting their global fanbase.
