K-pop sensation Rain received an unexpected diagnosis during a recent health checkup.
On the 26th, the YouTube channel 'Season B Season' featured an episode titled 'The Story Behind Why I Can't Eat Chicken Breast Anymore After a Health Checkup with My Brother Seok-hoon.'
Rain, alongside fellow singer Lee Seok-hoon, visited a traditional Korean medicine clinic to undergo an 8-constitution diagnosis. After a pulse reading, Rain was identified as having a 'Soyangin' constitution. The doctor noted, "Your upper body is well-developed, but your lower body is relatively weaker," and advised, "Be cautious with spicy, sweet, and salty foods, as well as alcohol." The doctor also warned Rain to be mindful of diabetes.
Rain commented, "That's why I'm focusing on building muscle," indicating his current workout regimen. However, the doctor recommended, "You should focus more on lower body exercises." Rain responded, "I am working hard on my lower body," to which the doctor humorously compared Rain's physique to "a Porsche engine with a compact car's lower body." This left Rain amused and slightly embarrassed.
Dietary advice was also provided. The doctor explained, "Soyangin types may not do well with chicken or fried foods, and spicy seasonings," suggesting caution with his chicken breast diet. Additionally, the doctor emphasized the importance of stress management, warning that "anger can cause energy to rise, further weakening the lower body."
The doctor, recalling a statement Rain made about kneeling for his family, advised, "Soyangin types should avoid kneeling as it's not beneficial." The doctor also noted, "Soyangin individuals tend to enjoy new things, which might make it challenging to be domestic," leaving Rain visibly surprised.
Lee Seok-hoon, who was also examined, was diagnosed with a constitution close to 'Taeumin.' The medical staff noted, "You have a strong tendency to absorb and store, which can lead to easy weight gain, but your current condition is good due to proper management." However, they advised, "Avoid iced drinks as your lungs and respiratory system are weak, and consider herbal teas like balloon flower or omija."
As the constitution comparison continued, Rain humorously asked, "Have you seen my lower body?" When Lee Seok-hoon was likened to a "Tesla," Rain joked, "So I'm a Porsche on top and a compact car below?"
After the checkup, Rain concluded, "I guess I should avoid what I'm told not to do and focus on what I'm advised to do."
Meanwhile, Rain has been married to actress Kim Tae-hee since 2017, and they have two daughters. Lee Seok-hoon continues to balance his career as a singer and musical actor.
