K-Pop Star Soyou Reveals Her 44-Pound Weight Loss Journey and Fitness Routine
Former SISTAR member Soyou has unveiled the workout regimen that helped her shed 44 pounds.
On the 26th, Soyou shared a video titled 'Wondering How Soyou Manages Her Body? I'll Tell You Everything' on her YouTube channel 'Soyougi'. In the video, she addressed the frequent questions she receives about her skincare and body management routines.
Soyou captivated viewers by sharing her weight loss journey. She revealed, "After losing weight, there were rumors about plastic surgery." She continued, "My current weight is 49kg (108 lbs). Before dieting, my maximum weight was 68kg (150 lbs)," surprising everyone. Soyou humorously added, "People think I lost 10kg, but it's actually 20kg. Wouldn't that change my face shape?"
Soyou explained that she hadn't disclosed her weight before because she felt ashamed. "I was shocked when I weighed myself and started losing weight rapidly," she confessed. She mentioned experiencing a weight plateau last April and noted that her weight began to drop exponentially when she reduced muscle mass and increased cardio.
She shared, "I lost a lot of weight in my calves, legs, and buttocks. It feels like I lost about 5kg there." Soyou also shared her workout routine, which includes a 3-hour session with 1 hour of personal training, 20 minutes of individual exercise, and 1.5 hours on the treadmill. She emphasized the importance of using a foam roller to relax calf muscles after running.
Previously, Soyou made headlines for losing 10kg (22 lbs) last year. During a live broadcast on her social media, she stated, "If I lose more weight, I might not have any energy, so I'm trying to maintain it. With a busy schedule, I sometimes miss meals, which leads to weight loss. The last time I checked, I was 52kg (115 lbs) and decided not to lose more." However, she has since achieved her lowest weight through consistent diet and exercise.
