Korean actress Jeon Won-Ju recently demonstrated her frugal spending habits during an outing with her daughter-in-law.
On the 24th, the YouTube channel 'Jeon Won-Ju In Gong' released a video titled "Covering My Bald Spot with a Wig with My Daughter-in-Law."
Jeon visited Namdaemun Market with her daughter-in-law, praising her before the meeting by saying, "She manages the household well and helps me a lot."
She expressed her excitement, stating, "Even though she's my daughter-in-law, she sticks to me like a son or daughter." Jeon also shared her philosophy, "Being good to your daughter-in-law eventually benefits your son."
As they walked through the market, vendors greeted them warmly, and Jeon smiled contentedly. When her daughter-in-law offered to pay for lunch, Jeon insisted, "Who has more money, you or me?" and paid the bill herself.
The daughter-in-law joked, "Isn't it usually one drink per person at cafes these days? It's too much for three people to share one. Even when I suggest ordering two, she insists on one, so my husband and I share one drink."
Jeon proudly shared, "I've been to the Blue House twice, receiving awards for frugality and savings. Saving leads to great rewards." She added, "I always pocket leftover napkins and have a collection of recycled napkins at home. I carry cups and bowls to take leftovers home."
Jeon Won-Ju is also known as a wealthy individual, having amassed assets worth billions. Her wealth includes 3 billion won in stocks, 1 billion won in gold, and properties in Seoul's Sinchon and Cheongdam-dong. On tvN's 'You Quiz on the Block' last December, she revealed, "I bought SK Hynix shares for 20,000 won in 2011, and my stock investment, which started with 5 million won in 1987, now has a return of over 600%."
She added, "Instead of buying other things, I bought gold. I used to collect gold in the talent room and make keys out of it." Jeon also mentioned her status as a VVIP customer, saying, "I've never gone to the bank myself. They come to pick me up and take me to the VIP room."
