On the 24th, Lee Joo-seung shared on his Instagram story, "Goodbye to my respected 97-year-old grandfather, a Korean War veteran, a warm teacher, and someone I deeply respect and love," along with two photos.
The photos show Lee Joo-seung paying his last respects to his late grandfather. Instead of tears, he showed his respect by giving a thumbs-up.
Lee Joo-seung expressed gratitude, saying, "Thank you for remembering and mourning my grandfather with me. Your warmth has been a great comfort. Today, we laid him to rest at the National Cemetery."
The late grandfather appeared with Lee Joo-seung on the MBC variety show 'I Live Alone' in February 2024. He was introduced as a veteran who served as an officer in the Korean War and later worked as an elementary school teacher. Lee Joo-seung showed his affection by mentioning how often he visited his grandfather.
Previously, Lee Joo-seung expressed condolences over the passing of his close friend actor Goo Seong-hwan's pet dog and temporarily halted his YouTube activities.
