Comedian Nam Chang-hee has tied the knot with Yoon Young-kyung, a former actress, sparking renewed interest in her past entertainment career, particularly her appearance on 'Infinite Challenge.'
Nam Chang-hee and Yoon Young-kyung held their wedding ceremony on the 22nd at the Dynasty Hall of the Shilla Hotel in Jung-gu, Seoul. The couple became husband and wife approximately 1 year and 7 months after their relationship became public in July 2024.
Initially, Nam Chang-hee's wife was known as a non-celebrity 9 years his junior. However, it has been revealed that she previously worked in the entertainment industry. Yoon Young-kyung is currently employed as an officer in the Public Relations Department of the Dongdaemun District Office and appears on the district's YouTube channel.
Yoon Young-kyung graduated from Dongduk Women's University with a degree in Broadcasting and Entertainment. She won the 'Sun' award at the 83rd National Chunhyang Selection Contest in 2013 and debuted in the entertainment industry with the film 'Ode to My Father' the following year. She has since appeared in dramas such as 'Splendid Politics,' 'Ms. Temper & Nam Jung-gi,' the web drama 'The Most Perfect Confession Scam,' and the film 'Hot Blooded.' Notably, she appeared on the MBC variety show 'Infinite Challenge' in 2014, where she gained attention as the 'Han River IU' during the 'Hong-chul, Let's Get Married' special.
In 2019, Yoon Young-kyung also appeared on the MBN dating show 'Before Some Rise.' She was noted for her innocent appearance and lively personality, and she candidly expressed her feelings to a date, saying, "I was a bit disappointed you chose Minji (another female contestant) yesterday."
