Netflix's 'Lee Seo-jin's Dollar Trip' Set to Premiere on March 24

Netflix has confirmed the release of its new variety show, 'Lee Seo-jin's Dollar Trip,' on March 24.

'Lee Seo-jin's Dollar Trip' is an unscripted, plan-free American road trip variety show featuring Lee Seo-jin and PD Na Young-seok. The show captures Lee Seo-jin's adventures in Texas, a place he dreams of calling his second home after retirement, alongside his 15-year friend Na Young-seok and their companions. Following the success of 'Three Meals a Day in Kenya,' which featured the comedic talents of Lee Soo-geun, Eun Ji-won, and Kyuhyun, this marks the second variety show by Na Young-seok's team on Netflix. Lee Seo-jin previously collaborated with Na Young-seok on the 'Lee Seo-jin's New York, New York' series in 2020 and 2023.

The teaser video opens with a scene reminiscent of a Western film. As Lee Seo-jin refers to Texas as his second home, the journey begins. The group, transformed into cowboys, explores the Texas landscape with enthusiasm. The excitement of donning new boots hints at the free-spirited nature of the trip. The grumbling guide 'Mr. Lee' (Lee Seo-jin), his slightly embarrassed younger brother Na Young-seok, and their companions embark on a 'Texas Road Trip' full of surprises.

PD Na Young-seok describes Texas as a destination that Lee Seo-jin loves and has visited multiple times. He emphasizes that the project focuses on Lee Seo-jin's personal travel preferences, offering a fresh perspective in an era saturated with information and search results.

PD Kim Ye-seul adds, "Dallas, Texas, is a place Lee Seo-jin loves so much that he considers spending his retirement years there. The show offers a glimpse into Lee Seo-jin's lifestyle rather than a standardized tour of famous landmarks." She also highlights the unique blend of American knowledge and quirky life wisdom that emerges from Lee Seo-jin's experiences.
