Kim Ha-neul played the role of Kim Chae-won, a teacher torn between reality and emotion, showcasing her nuanced portrayal of the character's psychological changes. This role solidified her status as a youth star of the era, earning her the Best Actress award in the mini-series category at the 2002 MBC Drama Awards.
