Lee Sung-kyung Shines in 'Your Glorious Season' Premiere with Captivating Performance

Lee Sung-kyung showcased her impressive character portrayal in the premiere of 'Your Glorious Season'.

On October 20th, Lee Sung-kyung took on the role of Song Ha-ran, the head designer at the top-tier fashion house 'Nana Atelier', in MBC's new Friday-Saturday drama 'Your Glorious Season' (written by Jo Sung-hee, directed by Jung Sang-hee & Kim Young-jae). Song Ha-ran is a character who has locked herself in a perpetual winter due to inner wounds, and Lee Sung-kyung brought this character to life with depth from the very first episode.

Ha-ran, who lost her boyfriend in an accident seven years ago, has closed her heart out of fear that she might bring misfortune to others. Her transformation from a once bright and warm personality to someone who has built a cold wall around herself suggests she is still living with deep scars.

Initially suspicious of Sun Woo-chan (played by Chae Jong-hyeop), who suddenly appears in her life, Ha-ran gradually lowers her guard as unexpected coincidences between them unfold.

From the first episode, Lee Sung-kyung skillfully portrayed Ha-ran's contrasting emotions, from her bright and radiant charm in memories to her current emotionally drained state, and even her anxiety when losing a cherished drawing pen. She navigated these emotional shifts with finesse.

Lee Sung-kyung's true talent shone in scenes without dialogue. Her trembling eyes contrasted with her cold demeanor, her emotional outbursts in her private attic, and her caring nature as a sister were all captured, fully conveying Ha-ran's story.

MBC's new Friday-Saturday drama 'Your Glorious Season', starring Lee Sung-kyung, airs every Friday and Saturday at 9:50 PM.
