On the latest episode of SBS's variety show 'Running Man,' Yoo Jae-suk demonstrated his loyalty by choosing friendship over money.
The episode, aired on the 22nd, celebrated the 60th birthday of the eldest member, Ji Suk-jin, with a special race titled 'Find the Missing Wangko Coin.'
During the celebration, Ji Suk-jin, who possessed the Wangko Coin, enjoyed his power by teasing Yoo Jae-suk and receiving flattery from the other members. Ji Ye-eun even shed tears of emotion to earn a coin.
Yoo Jae-suk humorously revealed, "In the past, Ji Suk-jin sent me home early when he was booking at a nightclub." A flustered Ji Suk-jin tried to silence him with a coin, while Yoo Jae-suk turned it into a heartwarming story, saying, "He did it so I wouldn't feel hurt if I wasn't chosen."
A sudden crisis occurred during the birthday party when the Wangko Coin disappeared from Ji Suk-jin's safe. The producers announced, "The birthday party ends here," and the members embarked on the 'Find the Missing Wangko Coin' race.
Yoo Jae-suk emerged victorious in the race, winning a coin valued at 1 million won and a penalty exemption.
Before the race, the producers asked, "Will you use the money for yourself or for Ji Suk-jin?" Yoo Jae-suk, tempted by the cash, pondered, "It would be fun to keep it for myself, but anyone would do the same," ultimately choosing loyalty by saying, "Of course, I'll use it for Suk-jin hyung."
Torn between humor and loyalty, Yoo Jae-suk joyfully gifted the 1 million won, stating, "If it weren't for his birthday, I would have kept it." The producers then proposed an 'All Pass Mission,' explaining, "If successful, the prize doubles; if not, it's zero."
The members showcased their 16-year friendship, ultimately winning 2 million won as a birthday gift for Ji Suk-jin. Ji Suk-jin concluded warmly, "I'll use it for a group dinner."
