Veteran Actor Im Hyun-sik Reflects on His Career and Prepares for the Future
Veteran actor Im Hyun-sik was seen reminiscing about his late wife and preparing for the future.

On the October 19th episode of MBN's 'Special World,' Im Hyun-sik appeared to share updates on his life.

During the episode, Im Hyun-sik reflected on his extensive acting career, stating, "I think I've done over 100 projects." He recalled, "When they told me, 'Please, just stick to the script,' I would say, 'I'll do my best,' and comfort myself while acting."

He then brought out a massive stack of scripts and started a fire to burn them. However, as he looked through the scripts, he decided to take them back inside.

Later, Im Hyun-sik visited a camera store to purchase a camcorder. He explained, "The atmosphere is changing. Once things are sorted, some things might disappear, so I want to capture them with this."

His daughter, observing his actions, expressed, "Seeing him trying to organize his surroundings makes me realize how much older he has become. It makes me sad, scared, and upset."

Born in 1945, Im Hyun-sik is now 82 years old. He debuted in 1969 as part of MBC's first open recruitment for talents and has been active in acting for over 50 years. He gained immense popularity for his role as Soon-dol's father in the drama 'Three Families Under One Roof' and continued to shine in popular series like 'Hur Jun' and 'Dae Jang Geum.'
