On the October 19th episode of MBN's current affairs program 'Special World,' Im Hyun-sik was seen visiting the memorial of the late actor Lee Soon-jae.
At the memorial, Im Hyun-sik gently addressed his late colleague, saying, "Senior, it's me, Im Hyun-sik."
In an interview, Im Hyun-sik revealed, "I went to the funeral but couldn't bring myself to enter." He confessed, "It didn't feel real that he had passed away, and I felt I would break down in tears if I went inside."
Im Hyun-sik's heartfelt tribute to his long-time colleagues left a profound impact on viewers.
Born in 1945, Im Hyun-sik debuted in 1969 as part of MBC's first open recruitment for actors and has been active in the industry for over 50 years. He gained immense popularity for his role as Soon-dol's father in the drama 'Three Families Under One Roof.' He also played memorable supporting roles in popular series like 'Hur Jun' and 'Dae Jang Geum.'
