Over 30 years after their roles as mother and daughter in the sitcom 'Soonpoong Clinic,' Park Mi-sun and Sunwoo Yong-yeo express their deep affection for each other.
On the 18th, the YouTube channel 'Soonpoong Sunwoo Yong-yeo' released a video titled 'The Tearful Lunar New Year Meal of Park Mi-sun and Sunwoo Yong-yeo (Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Anchovy Potato Stew)'.
Park Mi-sun visited Sunwoo Yong-yeo's home. After battling breast cancer and shaving her head, Park Mi-sun noted, "My hair grew back thin. It all fell out and grew back like baby hair. It wasn't curly before, but now it is." Sunwoo Yong-yeo warmly responded, "Your hair is beautiful. It's fashion." Park Mi-sun added, "It doesn't grow back easily. It needs to fall out completely to the roots."
Park Mi-sun reflected, "It's been so long since I started calling you mom." Sunwoo Yong-yeo replied, "It's been over 30 years." During 'Soonpoong Clinic,' Park Mi-sun was 32, and Sunwoo Yong-yeo was 54. Park Mi-sun remarked, "Mom was my age now when she did 'Soonpoong.'" At that time, Park Mi-sun's husband, Lee Bong-won, was studying in Japan for two years, so the two women grew close, meeting weekly.
While dining together, Sunwoo Yong-yeo commented, "Age is just a number," and added, "Young people are collapsing." Park Mi-sun joked, "Is that a message for me?" Sunwoo Yong-yeo clarified, "It's not just for you. Life is tough these days. It's better to face challenges early. If I had my stroke in my 50s instead of 60s, I would have realized more."
Park Mi-sun emphasized, "It's best not to get sick, but if you do, it's important to see how your life changes positively and realize that."
Sunwoo Yong-yeo added, "Some people realize it, some don't. They lament. Never lament." Park Mi-sun expressed gratitude, "Mom keeps guiding me. She's my beacon. I want to follow her path. She's been my light and strength. It's rare to find someone outside of family who cares so much."
