'Secret Audit' Captivates Viewers with Impressive Ratings and Unique Storyline
tvN's weekend drama 'Secret Audit' premiered to enthusiastic responses. The show, which features a unique storyline about an internal audit for misconduct, is enhanced by diverse character play and the comedic chemistry between Shin Hye-sun and Gong Myung, capturing the hearts of viewers.
The second episode of 'Secret Audit' reached a peak viewership rating of 7.7% (Nielsen Korea, paid platforms, metropolitan area), securing the top spot in its time slot across cable and general programming channels. Additionally, it ranked third in the TV drama buzz index for the fourth week of April, as reported by Good Data Corporation's official platform, FUNdex, marking a promising start.
Gong Myung also received praise for his portrayal of Noh Ki-joon, who finds himself demoted from the elite audit team to the problematic audit team 3, responsible for office gossip. His comedic yet serious performance brings Noh Ki-joon's struggles to life, making viewers anticipate his character's development.
The much-discussed fainting ending from episode 1 also had its unreleased cut revealed. The scene where Noh Ki-joon faints in Joo In-ah's arms while trying to dodge an attack from Young-hee (played by Park Ha-sun), who reported her husband's infidelity, hints at unpredictable relationship changes. The tense eye contact and unexpected positions between Joo In-ah and Noh Ki-joon evoke laughter and excitement.
