Actress Han Go-eun's harrowing experience of being trapped in a bathroom for 13 hours is once again capturing attention online.
Recently, an online community and YouTube channel featured posts and videos titled "Reasons Why Han Go-eun Says You Should Get Married."
The video includes edited clips from Han Go-eun's candid confession during her appearance on Channel A's 'Modern Men Life - Groom Class' in 2023.
On the show, Han Go-eun shared an episode she experienced while living alone. She revealed, "I was once trapped in the bathroom for 13 hours," explaining, "The door suddenly slammed shut due to the wind and wouldn't open."
Han Go-eun continued, "I thought it would be okay since my husband would come home around 7:30 PM. He rushed home when I didn't answer his calls," recalling the dangerous situation.
Eventually, when Han Go-eun told her husband, "I'm trapped in the bathroom," he ended up breaking down the door.
Her thoughts during the 13-hour isolation resonated with many who live alone. She pondered, "How would I have gotten out if I lived alone?" Co-star Kim Dong-wan shared a practical tip, saying, "That's why I wear a smartwatch connected to a close friend in the neighborhood," which garnered agreement.
Kim Dong-wan further emphasized the meaning of marriage, saying, "Among married couples, some can turn serious situations into something humorous. Once you get past a tough moment, you can endure. That's what spouses do—lean on each other, share silly jokes, and buy meals."

Meanwhile, Han Go-eun married her husband, who is four years younger, in 2015. She previously shared on a broadcast that the reason she married him was, "We went on a pre-wedding honeymoon, and after spending 24 hours together, I thought, 'I can live with this person.' When you date at an older age, you don't overthink things."
