Park Se-hyun is set to create another first love narrative with Park Jin-young.
Premiering on March 6, JTBC's new Friday series 'Shining' is a drama that captures the journey of young individuals who, once sharing a world of their own, become the guiding light and belief in each other's lives.
Park Se-hyun takes on the role of Im Ah-sol, a candid and meticulous tax accountant. Though she may appear aloof and businesslike, she leads a fulfilling and busy life, balancing her profession with volunteer work, exercise, and hobbies.
Despite having no dating experience, she shares a small connection with Yeon Tae-seo (played by Park Jin-young), whom she first encountered during her freshman year of high school at a study room. She was drawn to the senior who studied near the entrance where no one else sat, and she quietly admired and supported him. As time passes, she unexpectedly reunites with 'that senior' Yeon Tae-seo, realizing he was her first love.
The long-standing narrative of Im Ah-sol's feelings for Yeon Tae-seo piques curiosity, as the released photos reveal her multifaceted character. From her mature aura as a working adult to her unpretentious charm in casual attire, her appeal is evident.
The anticipation builds around the dynamic between Yeon Tae-seo and Im Ah-sol, who meet again after many years. With Yeon Tae-seo engrossed in something with his head down and Im Ah-sol's inscrutable expression, attention is drawn to how their once fleeting school relationship will evolve.
Park Se-hyun explained, "For Im Ah-sol, Yeon Tae-seo exists as 'meaning' in her life." She added, "Starting with admiration, her feelings unknowingly spread. As Yeon Tae-seo, who was 'meaning' in the past, approaches as a 'presence' in reality, their relationship undergoes a transformation."
JTBC's new Friday series 'Shining' will air its first two episodes consecutively on March 6 at 8:50 PM.
