Lee Joon, known for his appearances on the YouTube channel 'Workman', has announced his resignation from a major corporation just one day after being hired.
On the 13th, the YouTube channel 'Workman' released a video titled 'Final Acceptance at Major Corporation KT! A Newbie Who Outshines Seniors...'.
In the video, Lee Joon joined KT as a new employee. He expressed his excitement, saying, "People working at big companies always seemed impressive to me, and it was my dream," adding, "The feeling of joining a major corporation is unique." After receiving his employee ID, he joked, "The photo looks too much like a celebrity."
KT welcomed him with an office kit containing an adapter, power bank, notebook, and stickers. Lee Joon was impressed by the 'corporate generosity', commenting, "It looks like a gift anyone would want. Of course, I'll take it home."
Lee Joon was assigned to KT's 'Onmaru' TF team, responsible for operating, planning, and promoting a space showcasing the evolution of telecommunications and KT's role. He humorously claimed, "You need to know history to understand the present. Just like MBLAQ existed before BTS, paving the way for them. MBLAQ didn't create BTS, but they paved the way."
While planning promotional strategies for Onmaru, Lee Joon boldly titled his presentation, "Are We Okay As We Are?" He criticized the lack of practicality and design in the merchandise, suggesting short-form content as a cost-effective promotional tool. He emphasized, "There are many ways to promote without spending money," and even filmed a 'shorts' video with a senior colleague. The production team humorously commented, "He seems to be living too earnestly," and "He looks pitiful now that we see it."
In meetings, Lee Joon's energy was unstoppable. He declared, "I'm the type to see things through to the end," and added, "I'll work as if I'm quitting today. I'll go sharp." He also made bold statements like, "I should take over this company," and "I'll blow everything up," capturing the room's attention.
After his presentation, KT responded with a light-hearted, "You've worked hard. We'll review if it's feasible," and joked about making a life-sized cutout of him, to which Lee Joon replied, "Only if you implement all my ideas," keeping the humor going.
Lee Joon received a daily wage of 131,480 won, including meal and commuting expenses. He confessed, "Today, I worked with the mindset of quitting, so it was fine, but I don't think I could present like that in front of a real boss." He compared it to "acting in front of senior actors," acknowledging the pressure but concluded, "Even if things don't go as planned, it's important to keep challenging and realizing what you wanted."
