On the October 10th episode of MBN's 'Hyun-yeok Gawang 3', Lee Soo-yeon continued her journey in the third round of the finals, known as the 'Fate War'. After a decisive victory over Bin Ye-seo in the first round's one-on-one song battle, which placed her in fourth place, Lee chose Jeong Dong-won's 'Monologue' for her next performance, promising another legendary stage.
Ahead of her performance, Lee expressed her determination, saying, "Although I'm currently in the top ranks, I know the standings can change at any moment in the second round, so I must hold my position." Despite being only 11 years old, she captivated the audience with her profound interpretation and emotional depth.
Jeon Yoo-jin praised Lee's performance, stating, "Lee Soo-yeon is not just good for an 11-year-old; she is an exceptional singer. She possesses a more delicate emotional line and perfect storytelling than many adults." The original songwriter, Yoon Myung-sun, also commended her, saying, "She was perfect from the first note. Although I usually don't work with minors, I would love to collaborate with Lee Soo-yeon."
Lee Soo-yeon secured a spot in the semifinals, finishing in third place with strong support from both the celebrity judges and the audience. She joins Solji, Kim Tae-yeon, Cha Ji-yeon, Koo Soo-kyung, Geum Jan-di, Hong Ja, Hong Ji-yoon, Kang Hye-yeon, Kim Joo-i, So Yoo-mi, and Bin Ye-seo in the semifinals.
