Song Chae-ah, the former leader of the girl group 'Rusty', who left the entertainment industry five years ago, has opened up about her new chapter as a shopping host at the age of 30.
On October 10th, Song Chae-ah appeared on the YouTube channel 'One Mic' to share updates on her life.
In the video, Song Chae-ah, who previously performed under the name Harin with 'Rusty', introduced her home, which features a clean white interior, and mentioned, "I live with my mom."
While applying makeup before work, she continued the interview, revealing, "I was scolded by the company just for breathing and was called a 'debtor'. I don't think I even received 10% of the earnings I was supposed to get."
She further shocked viewers by disclosing that during the COVID-19 pandemic, when events were canceled, the company forced her to do internet broadcasts. "I wanted to please the company president, so I did everything they asked. Initially, I hated it, but then they changed their tune to 'bring in money'. Although it wasn't anything inappropriate, I wanted to be an idol, but they made me do those things," she explained, likening herself to a 'well-trained dog'.
Describing her 20s as a period of 'life lessons', Song Chae-ah is now opening a new chapter by juggling various part-time jobs and her role as a shopping host.
Her live broadcasts as a shopping host showcased her transformation from a lively girl group member to a professional broadcaster, impressing viewers with her adept hosting skills.
