Actress Kim Hyang-gi has been cast in the Coupang Play series 'Absolute Value of Romance'.
The Coupang Play series 'Absolute Value of Romance' (directed by Lee Tae-gon and Kim Jun-hyung) is a high-teen series about a high school girl who writes romance novels featuring handsome teachers as protagonists. She unexpectedly encounters them in real life, becoming the main character of a tumultuous school life.
Kim Hyang-gi will play the role of 'Yeo I-joo', a high school student who is ordinary by day but writes romance novels by night. Through this character, who navigates between reality and imagination, Kim is expected to showcase her unique delicate and lovely performance.
In this project, Kim Hyang-gi will work alongside Cha Hak-yeon, who plays 'Ga Woo-soo', a math genius with an IQ of 156 and a cold demeanor. The series also features a lineup of handsome teachers played by Kim Jae-hyun, Son Jeong-hyuk, and Kim Dong-kyu. The chemistry among these talented actors is anticipated to be a key highlight of the series.
Recently, Kim Hyang-gi's career has been unstoppable. She received critical acclaim for her powerful portrayal of a mother risking her life for her daughter in the film 'Harlan'. In the Netflix series 'Cashier', she transformed into 'Bang Eun-mi', a character who gains superpowers equivalent to the calories she consumes.
