Choi Gyu-ri Shines in New Role as 'Baekbanjang' in tvN's 'I'll Give You the Universe'
Actress Choi Gyu-ri returns as a lovable character in the new tvN drama 'I'll Give You the Universe'. Previously noted for her role as Park Min-young's junior in the 2024 tvN series 'Marry My Husband', Choi was also cast in Disney+'s 'Knock Off'. However, the latter has been indefinitely postponed due to controversies surrounding lead actor Kim Soo-hyun.

In 'I'll Give You the Universe', Choi takes on the role of Baek Se-yeon, a member of the BS Food PR team, showcasing her exceptional acting skills. Her striking features, bright and positive personality, and confident charm perfectly align with the character of Se-yeon.

Se-yeon, known as 'Baekbanjang' (a combination of Baek Se-yeon and Hong Banjang), consistently appears whenever Woo Hyun-jin (played by Noh Jung-ui) is in need. In the first two episodes aired on the 4th and 5th, Se-yeon offers heartfelt comfort to Hyun-jin, who is mourning her sister, and remains a steadfast support. Notably, Se-yeon demonstrates her loyalty and attention to detail by helping Hyun-jin wash her hair and taking care of Sun Woo-joo (played by Park Yoo-ho).

Se-yeon also resolves Hyun-jin's dilemma about living with Sun Tae-hyung (played by Bae In-hyuk) by saying, "Why not? It's actually better. You can split the childcare and housework," and "Let go of your inner Heungseon Daewongun. Focus on the benefits in front of you." Se-yeon's cool and positive energy injects vitality into the drama.

Choi Gyu-ri, known for her diverse roles in projects like 'Marry My Husband' and Netflix's 'The History of Confession', is expected to make a significant impact as 'Baekbanjang' Se-yeon.

'I'll Give You the Universe' airs every Wednesday and Thursday at 10:40 PM on tvN.
