German Accuser Cooperates with Korean Police in Actor Lee Yi-kyung's Scandal

A German individual, referred to as 'A', who exposed actor Lee Yi-kyung's private life, has announced their cooperation with the Korean police investigation.

On the 10th, A stated on their social media, "The reason I haven't made a separate statement until now is because I have been cooperating with the Korean police investigation." They added, "There were concerns about how Korean laws and procedures, which differ from those of other countries, might disadvantage me. Nevertheless, after much deliberation, I decided to participate in the investigation to prove the truth of this case."

A further mentioned, "I have submitted all the relevant evidence I possess," and noted, "Considering my inability to visit Korea directly, I am cooperating with the investigating officer remotely. The investigation has been ongoing for over a month and is taking considerable time."

A expressed, "Even if it takes time, I plan to cooperate diligently and await the results," adding, "Once the investigation is complete, I believe the identity of the person involved will be clearly revealed through the investigative agency. The communication records will remain, and the accounts used in conversations with Lee Yi-kyung were indeed real accounts. I sincerely hope the truth of this case will be clearly uncovered, even if it takes time."

Last October, A revealed messages they claimed to have exchanged with Lee Yi-kyung on social media, exposing his private life. In response, Lee Yi-kyung filed a lawsuit against A for defamation and threats based on false information. Lee Yi-kyung stated, "A person claiming to be a German, whose identity and existence I do not know, has repeatedly appeared and disappeared, sending threatening emails to my company months ago," and added, "I have communicated my stance on the rumors and completed the legal procedures for defamation and threats based on false information."

Due to the controversy, Lee Yi-kyung stepped down from MBC's 'Hangout with Yoo' and his appointment as an MC for KBS2's 'The Return of Superman' was canceled.

Below is the full statement from A's social media:

Hello. It's been a while since I last greeted you. The reason I haven't made a separate statement until now is because I have been cooperating with the Korean police investigation.

There were concerns about how Korean laws and procedures, which differ from those of other countries, might disadvantage me. Nevertheless, after much deliberation, I decided to participate in the investigation to prove the truth of this case.

I have submitted all the relevant evidence I possess, and I have also provided information regarding my identity to the investigative agency. Considering my inability to visit Korea directly, I am cooperating with the investigating officer remotely. The investigation has been ongoing for over a month and is taking considerable time.

Even if it takes time, I plan to cooperate diligently and await the results. Once the investigation is complete, I believe the identity of the person involved will be clearly revealed through the investigative agency. The communication records will remain, and the accounts used in conversations with Lee Yi-kyung were indeed real accounts.

I sincerely hope the truth of this case will be clearly uncovered, even if it takes time.
