Popular broadcaster Seo Jang-hoon offers advice to a YouTuber with 2.8 million subscribers.
In the 351st episode of KBS Joy's 'Ask Anything', YouTuber and director Jin Yong-jin appears as a guest, sharing his struggles with burnout after seven years of non-stop work.
Jin Yong-jin, known for creating, directing, and editing web shows like 'Money Game', 'Bloody Game Season 1', and various web drama series, boasts around 2.8 million subscribers. His flagship content series 'Nonexistent Movie' has surpassed 180 million cumulative views, and his survival-style content with large cash prizes has also gained significant attention.
Despite his impressive achievements, Jin confesses, "I've been so busy for the past seven years that I've forgotten how to rest." He reveals that working on content with a production cost of up to 100 million won per episode has made all-nighters a norm, and he participates in every stage of editing, which adds to the surprise.
Jin also shares his journey from a video editor to a producer, rapidly growing his career with idea-based content. Seo Jang-hoon, upon hearing Jin's swift rise to becoming a major content producer, remarks, "It's an unbelievable story," expressing admiration for Jin's creativity and planning skills.
Jin further admits to an unbalanced lifestyle, relying on alcohol due to insomnia, having irregular meals, and not having dated in four years. Lee Soo-geun comments, "You look too exhausted for someone so successful," expressing concern. Seo Jang-hoon advises, "Those who achieve great success strictly separate work and rest," emphasizing the need for personal rules and time for recharging.
