Comedian Lee Guk-joo Shares Childhood Love for Food and New Adventures in Japan
Comedian Lee Guk-joo has always had a unique appetite, even as a child.

On October 8th, Lee Guk-joo shared a photo on her Instagram story with the caption, "I loved noodles even as a kid... starting with japchae," showcasing her early love for food.

The photo reveals a young Lee Guk-joo sitting in front of a table filled with kimbap, various fruits, and a cake. Holding a plate in her left hand, she skillfully uses chopsticks with her small hands, capturing attention.

Meanwhile, Lee Guk-joo began living in a 9-pyeong studio apartment in Tokyo, Japan, in April of last year. She explained, "I turned 40, and next year marks my 20th anniversary since debut. I wanted to take on a new challenge. I thought, 'If I can learn Japanese, maybe I can try something new.'"

In response to some netizens criticizing her move as "only possible because she has money," Lee clarified, "This isn't a challenge or living situation like in my 20s. I'm in my 40s," and added, "Don't expect me to live like I'm in my 20s." She further stated, "Even if my time in Japan doesn't work out, I don't see it as a failure that will ruin my life. It will be a valuable experience."
