Actress Park Kyung-hye Shares Struggles of Living Alone in a Small Gangnam Studio

Actress Park Kyung-hye has opened up about the challenges of living alone in a small studio apartment in Gangnam.

On the 8th, Park Kyung-hye's YouTube channel 'Kyung-hye's World' featured a video titled "My Life Skills Have Increased by 100."

In the video, Park Kyung-hye shared her experiences living in a 6-pyeong (approximately 213 square feet) studio in Yeoksam-dong, Gangnam. From the start, she set the tone by saying, "Living alone is a series of hardships," hinting at the various mishaps that occur in her apartment.

The first incident she recounted was the 'clothes drying rack collapse.' She explained, "I had just finished all my chores and thought I'd lie down for a moment when the drying rack collapsed."

Despite multiple attempts to fix it, the clothes hanger eventually broke, leaving her frustrated. However, she found solace in the homemade food her mother had sent her, which brought a smile back to her face.

Park Kyung-hye expressed her delight, saying, "My mom's yukgaejang (spicy beef soup) is really delicious. I cooked rice for the first time in a low-sugar rice cooker, and it turned out perfectly." She enjoyed the meal with her mother's soup and side dishes, exclaiming, "Wow! It's so good," clapping her hands in delight.

However, another mishap occurred. She shared, "There was a 'kimchi spill' incident on my ivory carpet," and quickly cleaned up the mess. Despite the accident, she continued to enjoy her mother's yukgaejang.

She also mentioned frequent issues with the bathroom door lock rusting and getting stuck. With practiced skill, Park Kyung-hye managed to open the door using chopsticks, breathing a sigh of relief.

During a visit to a coin laundry, she accidentally put a dryer sheet in the washing machine, which she knew was a mistake. Feeling guilty, she called the laundromat owner, who reassured her by expressing concern for her laundry rather than the machine.

Comments on the video included, "I hope she gets cast on 'I Live Alone' and moves to a better place," "They say worrying about celebrities is pointless, but why am I worried about her?" "Please introduce your living essentials," "The drying rack collapse is sad but funny!" and "Living alone, I'm always worried about the bathroom door getting stuck." Viewers shared their empathy and support for her living situation.

Previously, Park Kyung-hye announced her first independent living experience at the age of 33 on her YouTube channel, saying, "I'm feeling the harshness of life firsthand. When I asked the real estate agent why life is so tough, they said, 'You haven't even reached the entrance yet.' It was a lesson wrapped in humor." She also shared that the overwhelming advice from others adds to her stress.

Despite the challenges, including a moldy ceiling, she assembled furniture, hung curtains, and cleaned, ultimately transforming her apartment into a clean and inviting space.
