Lee Min-woo Faces Family Separation Dilemma on 'Mr. House Husband'

Lee Min-woo's family grapples with the realistic dilemma of living apart.

On the October 7th episode of KBS 2TV's 'Mr. House Husband,' special guest singer Chuu appeared, while the episode depicted Lee Min-woo's family debating the issue of living separately. The episode garnered a nationwide viewership rating of 5.0% according to Nielsen Korea.

Recently, Lee Min-woo's parents, who had been experiencing conflicts over childcare and lifestyle differences, disappeared without a word. Shocked, Lee Min-woo urgently called his mother but couldn't reach her. After several attempts, he finally connected with her, anxiously inquiring about their whereabouts.

Lee Min-woo's mother revealed, "We've come down to Namwon," and added, "We'll live comfortably on our own, so you should live well on your own," before hanging up. This left Lee Min-woo pondering, "What did I do to upset them?" and he quickly boarded a train to Namwon, eager to see his parents.

Meanwhile, as his mother was organizing their hometown house, she became teary-eyed looking at photos of Lee Min-woo's childhood. She reminisced, "Seeing Min-woo's photos brings back memories. We were young back then," expressing her sorrow and frustration over feeling like a burden to her son in their changed circumstances.

When they reunited in Namwon, Lee Min-woo expressed his distress, saying, "Do you know how worried I was all day?" His father replied, "If we had told you we were going to Namwon, would you have let us go?"

Lee Min-woo and his parents then shared the realistic challenges they faced while living together. Although they cared for each other, their differing perspectives led to raised voices and eventually a debate over living separately.

Lee Min-woo opposed the idea of living apart, explaining, "Since you're getting older, there isn't much time left," and added, "During that time, I want to show you our family's happiness up close."
