Chef Jo Seo-hyung from KBS's 'The Boss Has Donkey Ears' reveals a whopping 9 million won bonus.
On the upcoming episode of KBS 2TV's 'The Boss Has Donkey Ears' (referred to as 'The Boss'), the renowned Korean chef Jo Seo-hyung, known for his transformation from a black-and-white chef to a 'business genius,' will unveil his extraordinary bonus distribution.
Previously, Jo Seo-hyung surprised viewers by revealing, "The cost of sesame oil and perilla oil alone is 2.1 million won a month." In this episode, he once again captivates with his extravagant 'flex' by handing out red envelopes to his staff ahead of the Lunar New Year, saying charismatically, "Check it out." The sight of the thick wads of cash inside the envelopes leaves the staff beaming with joy, expressing their loyalty and even attempting to bow in gratitude, drawing laughter. As the bonus amount becomes the center of attention, one of Jo's employees reveals, "The Lunar New Year bonus alone is 500,000 won, and I recently received a 9 million won bonus," prompting Jeon Hyun-moo to express admiration, saying, "With that, you can't help but stay," while Park Myung-soo humorously asks, "Is there an age limit?" expressing his desire to join.
The heartwarming bonus ceremony is briefly interrupted by Jo Seo-hyung's 'never-ending quiz show,' capturing everyone's attention. While dining with the youngest chef, he bombards them with questions like, "How should this vegetable be seasoned to taste good?", "How should the croaker be filleted?", "Is this the tastiest part of the croaker?" The unexpected barrage of questions leaves the new chef, who is only four days into the job, sweating profusely. Jeon Hyun-moo jokes, "He seems like a question mark killer," while Kim Sook humorously worries, "I don't think we'll see the new chef next week."
After the relentless quiz, Jo Seo-hyung demonstrates, "The croaker should be filleted without any bones," and "The croaker should be generously placed on top of the rice," teaching step by step. It turns out the barrage of questions was a 'love quiz' to assess the new chef's current skills and impart more knowledge about Korean cuisine.
Meanwhile, KBS 2TV's 'The Boss Has Donkey Ears' airs every Sunday at 4:40 PM.
