Influencer Baek Jin-kyung, known as the 'Honorary Brit' with 1.56 million followers, is set to appear on MBC's 'The Manager'.
In the 384th episode of MBC's variety show 'The Manager' (planned by Kang Young-sun, directed by Kim Yoon-jib, Jeon Jae-wook, Kim Hae-ni, Jung Dong-sik, Lee Da-woon, written by Yeo Hyun-jeon), viewers will get a glimpse into the 'British' lifestyle of Baek Jin-kyung, a plus-size model active in the UK.
Having lived in the UK for seven years, Baek Jin-kyung describes herself as someone who educates those unfamiliar with British culture through her content. However, originally from Ansan, South Korea, she admits to having moments where her 'Korean self' emerges. She surprises the panelists by revealing her preference for Korean plum tea over milk tea, Korean cuisine over brunch, and listening to K-ballads while exercising.
True to her 'British' persona, she carries her favorite mug everywhere for environmental reasons and corrects the panelists' 'Konglish' pronunciations, providing a unique sense of humor. She also recreates the 'chav makeup' style, characterized by earthy foundation, dark eyebrows, and thick eyeliner, leaving a memorable impression.
Additionally, the show will feature the first-ever broadcast appearance of Baek Jin-kyung's British husband. He is a younger man from London, a national actor actively working in Ireland, and met Baek Jin-kyung through a dating app, marking a fateful cross-border encounter.
