According to Netflix's official site Tudum, 'Undercover Miss Hong' ranked 5th in the non-English show category, showing an upward trend. It also made it to the TOP 10 in nine countries, including South Korea, Hong Kong, and Vietnam, proving its global popularity (as of February 4th). Additionally, according to the results announced by FUNdex, the official platform of Good Data Corporation, it ranked 1st in the TV drama category for the first week of February, maintaining its top buzz ranking for two weeks in a row.
Park Shin-hye's versatile performance is driving the success of 'Undercover Miss Hong.' Her ability to seamlessly transition between the charismatic 35-year-old securities supervisor and the sharp-tongued 20-year-old junior employee leaves viewers in awe with each episode. The drama also captivates audiences with its compelling chemistry among the intricately intertwined characters centered around Hong Geum-bo (played by Park Shin-hye).
The central theme of the drama revolves around Hong Geum-bo's undercover mission to uncover the whereabouts of Hanmin Securities' slush fund ledger and the identity of the whistleblower, Yeppi. The revelation of Hanmin Securities' corruption and irregularities during the pursuit of truth adds a unique twist, enriching the storyline.
