Actor Kim Yong-gun's Family: A Potential Star-Studded Dynasty in the Making?

Actor Kim Yong-gun may soon welcome another actress into his family, sparking interest in the potential creation of a 'star-studded dynasty.'

Kim's eldest son, Ha Jung-woo (real name Kim Sung-hoon), recently confirmed his relationship with Cha Jung-won, who is 11 years his junior. Ha Jung-woo's agency, Workhouse Company, acknowledged the relationship but dismissed marriage rumors. However, social media photos suggest the couple has been together for a significant period, fueling speculation that they are dating with marriage in mind.

Previously, Kim Yong-gun's younger son, Cha Hyun-woo (real name Kim Young-hoon), married actress Hwang Bo-ra in 2022, making Kim already a father-in-law to an actress. Cha Hyun-woo, who has a background in acting, is now the CEO of Workhouse Company, involved in production and management. Hwang Bo-ra debuted as an actress in 2003 through SBS's 10th open recruitment for talents.

Cha Jung-won, who is dating Ha Jung-woo, debuted as an actress in the 2012 film 'Horror Stories.' She has since appeared in dramas such as 'She Was Pretty,' 'Wednesday 3:30 PM,' 'While You Were Sleeping,' 'Special Labor Inspector Jo,' and 'Eccentric! Chef Moon,' as well as the film 'The Collapse.' She is also active as a fashion and beauty influencer.

Born in 1978, Ha Jung-woo debuted in 2003. He has starred in films like 'The Chaser,' 'Take Off,' 'Nameless Gangster: Rules of the Time,' 'Berlin,' 'Assassination,' and the 'Along with the Gods' series. He has also directed films such as 'Fasten Your Seatbelt,' 'Chronicle of a Blood Merchant,' 'Lobby,' and 'The Neighbors Upstairs.' Ha Jung-woo is set to return to television with the new tvN weekend drama 'How to Become a Landlord in Korea,' premiering on November 14.
