On the recent episode of SBS's variety show 'Same Bed, Different Dreams 2 - You Are My Destiny', veteran actress Yoon Yoo-sun shared her amusing love story with her husband, sparking laughter with their differing accounts.
Yoon Yoo-sun, who debuted 52 years ago, appeared on the show aired on the 3rd. Born in 1969, she revealed her marriage story with Lee Sung-ho, a judge three years her senior and a Seoul National University graduate. Celebrating their 25th anniversary this year, the couple met on a blind date in the winter of 2000 and married 98 days later at the Judicial Research and Training Institute. In a past interview, Yoon mentioned, "He proposed without even saying 'I love you'." Lee Sung-ho, who served as a chief judge at the Seoul Central District Court and Suwon District Court, retired after 27 years as a judge and is now practicing as a lawyer. He also appears as a mediator on the show 'Divorce Deliberation Camp'.
Lee Sung-ho humorously claimed, "I rescued my wife. It would have been hard for her to marry anyone else." Despite declining interviews on their wedding day, he confessed, "I couldn't promise to stay together until our hair turns gray because, as a legal professional, I can't lie. Most things said during weddings are lies." Yoon Yoo-sun added, "I used to find these stories amusing. I thought my husband was funny," highlighting their perfect match in humor.
Recalling their first meeting, Yoon Yoo-sun admitted she was hesitant to meet someone with the title 'judge', fearing he might be too serious. However, she shared, "We both reluctantly met due to the matchmaker's persistent persuasion." Lee Sung-ho, reflecting on his first impression of Yoon, said, "She wasn't the type I was looking for. She was a bit short, and I preferred Western looks at the time. Her appearance didn't captivate me at first sight." Yet, he appreciated her sincerity, saying, "I value truthfulness in words, and I felt she was genuine."
In contrast, Yoon Yoo-sun stated, "I don't usually focus on looks." Lee Sung-ho countered, "She liked me first." Yoon retorted, "A week after we met, he said, 'You're perfect for me, let's get married.' I suggested we should get to know each other more. A few days later, he wanted to meet my parents." Lee Sung-ho added, "We met every day for 98 days and then got married." Yoon Yoo-sun found his boldness endearing, laughing, "His provocations are cute."
