Actor Kim Min makes a remarkable impression in his debut historical film.

Kim Min stars as Eom Tae-san, the son of village chief Eom Heung-do (played by Yoo Hae-jin), in the film 'The Man Who Lives with the King,' directed by Jang Hang-jun, which premieres today (4th).

Set in 1457 Cheongnyeongpo, the film tells the story of a village chief who volunteers for exile to revive his village and a young dethroned king in exile.

Kim Min's character, Eom Tae-san, grew up in a remote mountain village without a proper teacher or books, yet he showed exceptional intelligence, mastering the Thousand Character Classic at age 5 and the Elementary Learning at age 8. He is the pride and joy of his father, Eom Heung-do.

Despite giving up on the civil service exam due to extreme poverty, Eom Tae-san rekindles his dream of studying after meeting the deposed king, Lee Hong-wi (played by Park Ji-hoon). Eom Tae-san is a character who speaks his mind, possessing both maturity beyond his years and youthful innocence, adding depth to the film.

Kim Min is expected to deliver a strong performance alongside Yoo Hae-jin, portraying a close father-son relationship that anchors the film. He seamlessly blends with veteran actors, delivering another memorable performance. The released stills show Kim Min fully immersed in his character, promising a high level of character completion. Just as Yoo Hae-jin is praised for his 'textbook visual and acting,' Kim Min's portrayal of the 'son' is anticipated to be equally realistic.

Kim Min has previously appeared in various dramas and films, including 'High Cookie,' 'Hyde,' 'Detective 1958,' 'Rebound,' 'The Killers,' and 'Lobby.' As he continues to make strides in both television and film, all eyes are on Kim Min's new acting transformation in his first historical film, 'The Man Who Lives with the King,' as he gears up for a full-fledged acting career in 2026.

The film 'The Man Who Lives with the King,' featuring Kim Min, is now playing in theaters nationwide.
