Hwang Jae-gyun, who recently divorced Jiyeon, candidly shared his thoughts on his past relationships, ideal type, and views on marriage.
On November 2, the YouTube channel 'Jjanhyeong Shin Dong-yup' released a video titled 'Off-Season Alcohol Monster.' The episode featured appearances by Ryu Hyun-jin, Bae Ji-hyun, Hwang Jae-gyun, and Son Ah-seop.
During the conversation, a question about ideal types arose. Reflecting on his past relationships, Hwang Jae-gyun said, "Some of my friends couldn't understand my past girlfriends, while others found them pretty. They were all different, so I can't really say." Host Shin Dong-yup agreed, saying, "It's not easy to describe someone's charm in a few words. Attractive women are appealing, aren't they?" Hwang added, "I'm drawn to women who attract me emotionally."
Son Ah-seop chimed in, "I think that's true. I've seen him date people who are polar opposites. I've seen him with both plain and sexy people. It seems he doesn't have a fixed style, just variety," which elicited laughter. Bae Ji-hyun also agreed, saying, "I completely agree."
Hwang Jae-gyun chuckled, biting his lip. He then revealed, "Now that I'm out, I feel like remarriage and everything is over for me." When Shin Dong-yup commented, "So you did think about remarriage," Hwang admitted, "I like children," hinting at his views on marriage. Shin Dong-yup joked, "You only like them because you see them briefly," to which Hwang replied sincerely, "I don't just see my nieces and nephews briefly."
Hwang Jae-gyun married Jiyeon in December 2022, but they divorced in November 2024, after nearly two years. He previously stated that they took ample time to overcome their differences but ultimately decided to go their separate ways by mutual agreement.
