Choo Sung-hoon made a provocative statement about his wife, Yano Shiho, suggesting that it would be okay for her to have a boyfriend.
On the first episode of SBS's variety show 'But Seriously!' (referred to as 'Akeunjin'), which aired on the 2nd, Choo Sung-hoon appeared as a guest. The talk show was set in a prison concept, where he met hosts Tak Jae-hoon, Lee Sang-min, Lee Soo-ji, and Kai, after being 'arrested' for habitual exposure.
Previously, Yano Shiho appeared on 'Shoes Off, Single for Men' and was asked if she ever considered divorcing her husband, Choo Sung-hoon. She replied, 'Every time, every time, every time.' On the show, Choo Sung-hoon responded, 'If my wife thinks about it every time, I think about it every time too.' Tak Jae-hoon teased him, saying he was pretending to be tough, while Lee Sang-min noted that his eyes were shaking.
It was also mentioned that Yano Shiho had said she needed a boyfriend because Choo Sung-hoon was too busy. Choo Sung-hoon coolly remarked, 'It would be nice if she had such a friend. Wouldn't it be more fun for my wife?'
When Kai expressed concern, saying, 'Isn't it because she's lonely and needs a boyfriend?' Choo Sung-hoon showed a generous attitude, saying, 'It's her life, and she should live it enjoyably. Have coffee, eat meals.'
Even when Kai suggested, 'Isn't she saying, 'Work a little less and spend time with me'?' Choo Sung-hoon replied, 'Then there would be no money. I need money. If I earn just a little, that would be frustrating.'
In contrast, Lee Sang-min, who remarried last April, firmly stated that he would not allow his wife to have a boyfriend, saying, 'I'm sorry, but that's absolutely not allowed. I don't believe in the term 'male friend.''
Later, Choo Sung-hoon sent a video message to Yano Shiho, saying, 'Right now, my wife is taking care of Sarang. I'm grateful. It's not easy. There are many hardships, but she's doing her best, and I'm thankful. If you're having a hard time, give me a call sometimes.'
