Korean actress Jeon Won-ju, known for her frugal lifestyle, recently made headlines by spending a significant amount at a dermatology clinic.
On the YouTube channel 'Jeon Won-ju_Jeon Won-ju In Gong', a video titled 'Jeon Won-ju undergoes a multi-million won skin lifting procedure at a Cheongdam-dong clinic to look 20 years younger. But how much did it cost?!!!!' was uploaded on the 3rd.
In the video, Jeon Won-ju is seen heading to the clinic with fellow actress Seo Woo-rim. She candidly shared, "I don't dress up or show off. I'm too honest, which worries me," and added, "As I age, I dislike looking in the mirror because of the wrinkles and dark spots."
Jeon, who sometimes slaps her face while watching TV to maintain skin elasticity, expressed, "I want to age gracefully. Even women don't like looking at wrinkled women, let alone men. Plus, older actresses aren't cast on TV."
Jeon also expressed envy over Seo Woo-rim's beauty, saying, "When we share a room during location shoots, I feel like I want to pounce on her when I watch her sleep." She reminisced about her past, saying, "I used to go home early because I was afraid of my husband. If I came home late after filming, he'd say, 'Why are you late when all you do is wear an apron and work in the kitchen?' I was so scared that I'd sit and beg."
After a skin diagnosis at the clinic, Jeon was praised for having skin that appeared 15 years younger, with great texture and glow.
Jeon decided to undergo six procedures, including toning and lifting. When she inquired about the cost, the doctor revealed it was around 5 million won (approximately $5,000), leaving her astonished.
Seo Woo-rim was surprised by Jeon's decision to spend 5 million won on the treatment, saying, "I'll stay to see how beautiful you become." During the procedure, Jeon admitted, "It feels like torture, but I'm enduring it because they say I'll look prettier. I gritted my teeth and endured it."
After the treatment, Seo Woo-rim marveled at Jeon's smooth, wrinkle-free skin, and Jeon expressed her satisfaction, saying, "You have to spend money. I feel really good," as she paid the 5 million won with her own card.
Meanwhile, Jeon Won-ju is known for her frugality, such as using half a sheet of toilet paper and relying on cosmetic samples. Despite her thrifty habits, she reportedly owns gold bars worth over 1 billion won and has assets exceeding 4 billion won.
