Tak Jae-hoon (57) has reiterated that the cancellation of 'Dolsing Fourmen' was due to Lee Sang-min.
On the 2nd, the press conference for SBS's new variety show 'But Seriously!' was broadcast online. The event was attended by Tak Jae-hoon, Lee Sang-min, Lee Soo-ji, and EXO's Kai.
'But Seriously!' is a character talk show that breaks away from the traditional talk show format by incorporating a universe and characters into the discussions.
The show is planned by Kwak Seung-young CP, known for 'My Little Old Boy' and 'My Turn', and directed by Seo Ha-yeon PD, who recently directed 'Dolsing Fourmen'.
Regarding his participation in 'But Seriously!', Tak Jae-hoon commented, "Since one show (Dolsing Fourmen) is gone, I have to do another," adding, "It wasn't my intention to end the program. It's because of Lee Sang-min." 'Dolsing Fourmen' was a long-running talk show on SBS but faced criticism after Kim Jun-ho and Lee Sang-min remarried, losing its original premise. This led to public calls for their departure, and the show was eventually canceled at the end of last year.
Tak Jae-hoon further explained, "I didn't want to show my mother that I was idle, so I decided to join. Initially, the title wasn't even decided. It was first called 'Twelve Zodiac Signs'. It was confusing what kind of show it was. After discussions with the production team, it was decided to be 'But Seriously!'."
On his feelings about re-employment, he expressed, "I'm happy. Being able to work again is a gift from God," while also taking another jab at Lee Sang-min, saying, "It's terrifying to work again with the program killer."
