Actress Shin Se-kyung, who boasts 1.46 million subscribers, recently shared her thoughts on running her YouTube channel.
On November 1st, Shin Se-kyung appeared as a guest on Jung Jae-hyung's channel 'Fairy Jae-hyung'.
In the video, Shin Se-kyung revealed her secret to maintaining her figure, saying, "I really love eating, so I work out diligently." Jung Jae-hyung mentioned her YouTube channel, noting, "You incorporate your workouts well into your vlogs."
Jung Jae-hyung expressed interest, calling her a "first-generation female actress YouTuber," to which Shin Se-kyung responded, "I started in 2018," marking her as a 7-year veteran YouTuber.
When asked about her motivation to start YouTube, Shin Se-kyung explained, "I really enjoy baking, and there are many beautiful moments in the dough. I thought I could create visually appealing content. The sounds are also very nice."
Shin Se-kyung shared, "I still do the filming and editing myself, which is why I haven't been able to upload recently." Jung Jae-hyung expressed his amazement, saying, "That's incredible. It's not an easy task. You edit with the same care as producers."
Discussing the challenges of editing her own videos, she candidly admitted, "Completing one video is very difficult and not easy. For instance, if I need to make a Christmas cake video during the holiday season, the content has a deadline, and there are moments when I feel like giving up."
Jung Jae-hyung asked, "How do you connect scenes when they don't naturally flow? Isn't it challenging to transition smoothly?" Shin Se-kyung replied, "I cut and paste. I often have those thoughts."
Shin Se-kyung emphasized her principles, saying, "Just because I do YouTube doesn't mean every moment of my life should be as a YouTuber. If I think I have to film everything during a trip, I can't fully focus on the experience. I can't film every moment with friends either, as it might make them uncomfortable."
Jung Jae-hyung inquired, "Aren't you ever tempted to film more?" Shin Se-kyung responded, "I've never thought that way. I maintain a balance between content creation and living life as an individual. Interestingly, I don't lose subscribers."
