On the 27th, Panic Button, the agency representing Acoustic Collabo, announced, "Mo Su-jin left us on the 25th."
The agency stated, "In accordance with the wishes of the bereaved family, we will not disclose the cause of death or any detailed information. We ask everyone to quietly mourn so that the deceased may rest in peace."
Acoustic Collabo, the group Mo Su-jin was part of, is a mixed acoustic duo that debuted in November 2010 with 'Love is The Key.' After several member changes, Mo Su-jin joined the group in August after posting a cover of 'Myohae, Neowa,' a song by The Ade and an OST for the drama 'Discovery of Love,' on her social media. The competition for her spot was 1600 to 1.
Some of their notable songs include 'Let's Break Up,' 'Missing You, Missing Me,' 'I'll Let You Go Now,' 'Sometimes,' 'I Think I Like You,' 'I Like Being With You,' 'Be Your Star,' 'Talk Tomorrow,' and 'A Question Mark About a Good Goodbye.'
Under the stage name Cloudy, Mo Su-jin also pursued a solo career, releasing songs like 'Flight,' 'Fade Away,' 'Be My Love,' and 'Your Universe.' After a legal dispute with her former agency, she terminated her contract in 2023 and announced a new beginning with Panic Button last year.
In June of last year, Mo Su-jin expressed her excitement about releasing a meaningful first song with her new agency. However, less than a year later, the tragic news of her passing was announced.
On the same day, YouTuber 'Yubyeongjangsu Girl' passed away after battling kidney cancer. Her boyfriend posted on the 'Yubyeongjangsu Girl' YouTube channel community on the 28th, "Jangsu Girl has become a star in the sky after a long battle."
He shared, "Starting the YouTube channel as a way to do something during an indefinite battle with illness, it received so much love and warm interest, which was a great strength. I sincerely thank everyone who loved the 'Yubyeongjangsu Girl' channel."
Born in 1997, she was diagnosed with stage 4 clear cell renal cell carcinoma, a rare type of cancer, four years ago at the age of 23. Since 2022, she had been sharing her treatment process and daily life as a cancer patient under the title 'Cancer Patient Vlog.'
Following the news of her passing, over 10,000 condolence comments have been posted on the YouTube channel community.
