On his YouTube channel 'Chef An Sung-jae', a video titled 'Behind the Scenes with An Sung-jae: From Makeup to Waiting Room' was released.
The video revealed various behind-the-scenes stories from An Sung-jae's time as a judge. Changing into a suit for the official judging, An humorously confessed, "Thanks to the writers' nagging, I've lost a lot of weight."
An Sung-jae, who usually doesn't wear suits while cooking, expressed his discomfort, mentioning his usual laid-back style of wearing stretched-out t-shirts for 5-6 years, showcasing his unexpected charm.
As the competition began, An Sung-jae appeared extremely nervous before the blind tasting. He stated, "On days when I have to judge solely by taste with my eyes covered, calming my mind is more important than preparation," adding that "this year, like last year, was not an easy process."
During the judging, An praised Monk Sun-jae's carrot dish for "preserving the sweet aroma of carrots without using salt," showcasing his expertise. The most delicious dish mentioned was Chef Hu Deok-juk's 'Carrot Jajangmyeon'.
Regarding the pink suit that garnered attention in the final round, An Sung-jae joked, "It looks like something you'd wear at a reminder wedding at sixty," causing laughter on set. He also confessed that deciding the final winner was challenging, as it reminded him of the intense stages. He added that the joy of seeing all participants create something meaningful was significant for him as a judge.
An Sung-jae concluded by expressing his thoughts on finishing the season, having done his best as a judge among the best chefs.
