The trio chooses a traditional Chinese restaurant run by a local grandmother as their first stop. Before entering, Kwak Tube cautiously predicts, "The owner might not even recognize Chef Ye Kyung-rae and refuse to let us film," to which Jeon Hyun-moo agrees, "She might feel pressured by his presence."
Contrary to their expectations, a surprising turn of events unfolds. As Ye Kyung-rae confidently enters the restaurant, the grandmother remarks, "He seems like a local," failing to recognize him. Even while serving the food, she delivers a final blow by saying, "I think you came by before and had the ganjajang." In response, Jeon Hyun-moo lists Ye Kyung-rae's impressive credentials, stating, "Chef Ye is the Vice President of the World Chinese Culinary Federation and one of the top 100 masters recognized by the Chinese government," adding that he is a key figure behind a famous oyster sauce.
Later, as the crispy tangsuyuk is served, the group engages in the classic debate of pouring sauce over the dish versus dipping it. Ye Kyung-rae decisively ends the debate by stating, "There was no such concept in the past." After tasting the grandmother's tangsuyuk, palbochae, japchae rice, and ganjajang, Ye Kyung-rae praises her cooking, saying, "Yeosu is full of hidden gems. I was skeptical at first, but she's truly skilled."
