On the afternoon of the 29th, a press call for 'Secretly Greatly: THE LAST' (directed by Choo Jung-hwa) was held at the NOL Theater Woori Card Hall in Daehakro, Jongno-gu, Seoul. The event was attended by cast members including Oh Jong-hyuk as Won Ryu-hwan, Niel, Seo Dong-jin, and Youngbin as Lee Hae-rang, Lee Ji-ham, Jo Yong-hwi, and Kim Joo-ho, Baek In-tae as Kim Tae-won, who shared various insights about the production.
Youngbin plays the role of Lee Hae-rang, the son of a high-ranking official from the Republic and an aspiring rocker. Reflecting on his first musical experience, he admitted, "It was indeed challenging as it was a field I was trying for the first time."
He continued, "My team member Taeyang had previously performed in this production. Although I couldn't watch it live due to my military service, I was impressed by the clips I saw on YouTube and wanted to show my fans a new side of me, which is why I decided to participate."
Youngbin added, "When working with other actors, I felt a desire to shine despite my inexperience. I've found new joy and charm in musicals and am happily rehearsing."
'Secretly Greatly' is based on a webtoon with over 10 million readers. It tells the story of elite agents from North Korea's 5446 Special Forces who infiltrate a South Korean neighborhood under the mission of national reunification, disguising themselves as a village fool, an aspiring singer, and a high school student. The story was also adapted into a film starring Kim Soo-hyun in 2013. The musical will run from March 30 to April 26.
